In a strategic move to fortify their defensive lineup, Asante Kotoko is on the brink of securing the services of former Medeama SC left-back, Fatawu Sulemana.
Having initially joined Medeama in 2019 after his stint with Miracle Land FC, the former Aduman SHS student took an unexpected detour to Al Merreikh earlier this year.
However, Sulemana's return to Ghana is prompted by the unsettling armed conflict in Sudan.
As negotiations near completion, Asante Kotoko anticipates a significant boost to their squad with the addition of the seasoned left-back.
Asante Kotoko currently have John Tedeku, Nicholas Osei Bonsu and Nana Bayin Amoah in that position and Sulemana will compete with them for a place should the deal go through.
