Asante Kotoko have affirmed parting ways with Algerian Video Analyst Boudjabi Nazim, as reported by Kickgh.com earlier today.

He was appointed in September 2022, a month after the appointment of Coach Seydou Zerbo- who got jettisoned months ago.

Nazim had been absent from active duty at the club since an altercation with a police officer in Dormaa several months ago during a BetPawa Premier League match between Aduana and Kotoko.

Reports from the local media suggested earlier that, the Algerian analyst had been involved in a physical altercation with the police officer following a misunderstanding off the pitch during the match-day.

Since then, Nazim had not been actively fulfilling his responsibilities, particularly following the dismissal of coach Seydou Zerbo.

In an open statement, the Porcupine Warriors confirmed this development;

"Before joining the club in Ghana, he sought permission of Management to go see his sick mother in Saudi Arabia. However considering how critical the first game of the season against Kadiogo was, we impressed on him to go after the second leg which he agreed but never went."

"In the last few days, he informed management of the deteriorating health of his mother and wish to be with her in Qatar where she is undergoing another treatment."

"Management obliged his request and he departed Ghana on 22/05/2023."

"He is however not expected to return considering we have only three matches to the end of the season and his contract is until the end of the season."

"The club would like to wish him well in his future endeavours and wish his mother a speedy recovery."
