Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko SC has officially confirmed that two of their players, Esmat AbdalHamid Mohamed and ObdoelKarem Yoouef Yagoub, both Sudanese nationals, are missing from their camp in the United States.
The club announced that the players left their team hotel without permission late on Friday, October 11, 2024.
All attempts to contact or locate the players have been unsuccessful so far. The club has notified U.S. law enforcement, including the FBI, and is cooperating with authorities to ensure their safe return.
Asante Kotoko urges fans and supporters to remain calm as they work closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the situation.
