Asante Kotoko have reportedly opened talks with representatives of former Hearts of Oak coach Kosta Papic as they look to appoint a new head coach following the departure of Eric Tinkler.

The Porcupine Warriors are assessing possible candidates to take charge of the team, with Papic emerging as one of the coaches under consideration.

Papic previously coached Hearts of Oak, giving him experience in Ghanaian football and the domestic league. His name has now surfaced as Kotoko explore options to fill the vacant position.

Romanian coach Marian Marinică is another candidate reportedly being considered by the Kumasi-based club as they weigh their options.

However, the ‘Kum Apem’ lads are yet to reach an agreement with either coach, meaning the search for Tinkler’s successor remains ongoing.

Asante Kotoko after bouncing back on winning ways with precious win over Young Apostles, prepare to face FC AshantiGold 04 this weekend in what will be a thrilling regional derby.
