As a result of Seydou Zerbo's dismissal, Abdul Gazale, the present coach of the Asante Kotoko youth team, has been chosen as the interim head coach.
Zerbo was relieved of his post after Kotoko's home loss to Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
This season, he had led the team to nine victories, seven defeats, and six draws in 22 games. The club's decision to part ways with Zerbo was prompted by their unimpressive form and the recent loss to Medeama.
The club is currently in seventh place with 34 points after 22 games. The announcement of Gazale's appointment was made on the club's official Twitter account.
