Ghana Premier League powerhouse Asante Kotoko SC has successfully reached an agreement with Legon Cities FC to sign 21-year-old midfielder Samuel Tenedu.
Tenedu, who made a significant impact in the Ghana Premier League last season with 30 appearances, played a key role in helping Legon Cities avoid relegation.
His impressive performances garnered attention from several clubs, but Kotoko has secured his services for the upcoming season.
After finishing sixth in the league last season, Asante Kotoko is determined to strengthen its squad for a more impactful campaign.
The club has already signed ten new players, including international recruits from Sudan, Congo, and Guinea, and the addition of Tenedu is seen as a major boost to their midfield.
Tenedu, born and raised in Obuasi, has agreed on personal terms with Kotoko and is expected to arrive in Kumasi soon to finalize the move and join the team for pre-season training.
