AshantiGold SC supporters are calling on their management to install Head Coach Bashiru Hayford as the Technical Director to interim coach Yakubu Mambo.
The outspoken gaffer proceeded on leave at the expense of his outfit during the break of the first round of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
Interim manager, Yakubu Mambo has masterminded some fine results for the Miners which has seen them moving out of the drop on the league log following an abysmal start of the league campaign.
However, due to Mambo's impressive outings with AshGold so far, Supporters of the club are now backing him to remain in the dugout, as they want management to install Head Coach Bashiru Hayford as the club's Technical Advisor.
An ardent AshGold supporter confirmed to Angel FM: "We the supporters are not asking him(Bashiru Hayford) to vacate from his post as the Head Coach. No, this is not our grievances on his return to our club,"
" But now that things are back to normalcy under the caretaker coach (Yakubu Mambo), and since we've started garning some vital points in the second half of the season; we think it will be prudent enough for management to maintain Mambo as the coach till the season comes to an end,"
"Bashiru Hayford should be made the Technical Advisor to Yakubu Mambo and that will be an ideal solution to our club's course. We're all aware of the difficulties we went through under Bashiru Hayford when the season started. So, it will be a laudable idea to management by appointing coach Bash as the Technical Director for now."
AshGold are currently occupying the 12th position on the log sheet with 26 points.
