Berekum Chelsea striker Stephen Amankona has signed a three-year contract with Egyptian Premier League side Smouha SC, Kickgh.com can reveal.
Amankona, 25, has finished as the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer for the past two seasons, drawing attention for his sharp finishing and consistent goal output.
The transfer marks a major step in the forward’s career, with financial terms yet to be disclosed. Smouha, based in Alexandria, are expected to unveil the player ahead of their pre-season training camp.
Amankona becomes the latest in a growing list of Ghanaian players making moves to North Africa in search of competitive opportunities and broader exposure.
