Ghana Premier League outfit Heart of Lions have announced the departure of Bashir Hayford following the expiration of his contract.
The experienced tactician has been with the Kpando-based club since their return to the Ghanaian top-flight league three seasons ago.
Hayford guided Heart of Lions to finish second place during the 2024–25 season’s campaign and battled for survival in the just concluded season after finishing at 14th position with 45 points.
The club confirmed the departure of the former Asante Kotoko coach on their official facebook page that he is leaving the club following the expiration of his contract.

Heart of Lions Football Club announces that Head Coach Bashir Hayford has departed the club after the expiration of his contract, bringing an end to his time with the team.
Coach Hayford served the club with dedication, professionalism, and commitment throughout his tenure. His experience, leadership, and passion for the game played an important role in the club's journey, and we sincerely appreciate his contribution both on and off the pitch.
