Bechem United's head coach, Seth Wire Osei, has conceded that the departure of key strikers has had a significant effect on the team's performance this season.

The club saw the exit of Hafiz Konkoni, Augustine Okrah, and Emmanuel Avornyo during the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Konkoni made a move to Young Africans in Tanzania before securing a loan spell with Libya's Olympic Azzaweya, while Okrah currently plies his trade with Young Africans. Avornyo recently completed a transfer to Macedonian First Football League outfit KF Shkupi.

Following a goalless draw against Asante Kotoko over the weekend, Coach Osei admitted that the absence of these strikers has left a void in the team's attacking lineup.

"With Hafiz Konkoni and Augustine Okrah gone, it is left with Annor and Cephas," he revealed during an interview with StarTimes. "So we will work hard on them so that they can find their scoring boots."

Bechem United currently occupies the 6th position on the league table with 34 points from 23 matches. Looking ahead, they are gearing up to face Great Olympics in their upcoming Matchday 25 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
