Head coach of Berekum Chelsea, Christopher Ennin after their defeat to giants Asante Kotoko, has stated they lost as result of bad officiating from referee Benjamin Kwame Sefa and his assistants.

Steven Mukwala's first half goal was enough for the Reds to record a slim win over the Bibires in GPL match-day 13 last Monday night in Kumasi.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the 41-year-old gaffer admitted playing against Kotoko in Kumasi is always a tedious task to achieve but added they lost as a result of bad officiating.

"It's quiet a good game. I don't normally talk about officiating but the referee didn't make the game the way it was supposed to go. I have never spoken about officiating, in fact I'm not happy."

"My boys didn't really play to my instructions, playing away against Kotoko isn't easy so we need to accept, go back, prepare and bounce back."

The Blues after the defeat have now had their five-game unbeaten run halted as they have now dropped to the 6th position on the table with 20 points.

Berekum Chelsea will welcome Great Olympics to the Golden City Park Stadium on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
