Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richard Boadu has fearlessly accused some Ghana Premier League clubs of manufacturing goals for AshantiGold SC striker, Yaw Annor.

Annor, 24, had a scary campaign in the 2021/22 season after finishing as top scorer with 22 goals equalling a long standing record with Hearts of Oak legend Ishmael Addo as the players to notch highest number of goals.

The budding goal wizard had previously played in Spain for CF Fuenlabrada in 2017 and Burgos CF on a season long loan deal during the 2018–19 Segunda División B season.

However, Boadu in an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM stated conspicuously that Annor's goals were fixed by some notable Premier League clubs.

“I will pick Franck Mbella Etouga as my best player in the just-ended season. Yaw Annor is another stubborn striker, who runs a lot on the field whenever he is with the ball, ” Boadu said.

“For Yaw Annor, I'll say some of the Ghana Premier League clubs played soft with AshantiGold SC for him to score.

“I am telling you the truth, some Premier League clubs played soft games with AshantiGold SC for him [Yaw Annor] to score to increase his goal tally," he added.

“There were some goals which you could see that the goals were manufactured and fixed," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Egyptian topflight side, Ismaily SC have finally unveiled Yaw Annor as their new player in the ongoing summer transfer window.

He signed a five year contract with the Brazilians for a fee of around US$200,000.
