King Faisal's relegation from the betPawa Premier League to the Division One League has been confirmed.

The final blow came as Karela United secured a 3-2 victory over Bibiani GoldStars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park. With this result, King Faisal's fate was sealed, as they are now unable to finish higher than 16th position regardless of the outcomes of the remaining matches.

Currently occupying the 17th spot with 39 points, King Faisal trails Tamale City by 3 points, with the latter sitting just outside the relegation zone. King Faisal could potentially match Tamale City's points tally if they win their final game and Tamale City suffers a defeat.

However, even if King Faisal achieves this feat, they will still fall below Tamale City due to their inferior head-to-head record in the matches played between the two teams this season. The head-to-head record stands at 4-1 in favor of Tamale City.

King Faisal now joins Kotoku Royals as the teams relegated from the Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, the final relegation slot will be determined on the last day of the season. Hearts of Oak, Karela United, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, Tamale City, and Great Olympics are all battling to avoid relegation.
