Astute Ghanaian coach CK Akonnor is still open to coaching Asante Kotoko, revealing his willingness to work with the club again.
The former Black Stars coach has been without a coaching job since he parted ways with Ghana national team in September 2021.
Since then Akonnor has dedicated his time learning more about the game, travelling to take up refresher courses in the dynamics of coaching skills.
“"As I mentioned, I travelled to gain additional knowledge about the game, so right now I'm continuing to educate myself in that area," Akonnor told Akoma FM.
"I haven't given up, but everything will depend on the opportunity and the offer, I cannot say I'm bigger than Kotoko."
Akonnor was in the fold of Asante Kotoko where he served for nine months at the Porcupine Warriors between 2018 and 2019.
He guided them to win the 2019 GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition and qualify for the 2019–20 CAF Champions League.
In July 2019, Akonnor was sacked by Asante Kotoko and replaced by Norwegian coach Kjetil Zachariassen.
