Accra Lions suffered their second consecutive home loss of the season and coach Ibrahim Tanko has described that as very unfortunate as they hope to lift the ante to help get the team back on track.
The Lions were whipped by Real Tamale United by an emphatic 1-3 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in the opening fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day 6 on Friday afternoon.
Baba Kushibo opened the scoring account for the visitors on the 6th minute, coupled with the other two from Mohammed Munkuyeli and Abdul Aziz to seal the victory. Abdul Rahman Ali got the consultation for the home side.
Reacting to the defeat, the Black Meteors gaffer admitted it is very poor to loose there consecutive games in Accra but is very hopeful they will bounce back going forward.
"It's very unfortunate for us. We have played three games here and zero points. That is very bad for us."
"But we are a young team and we have to keep on working and hope that we find a win soon. We are a young team. We have to continue working and definitely better times will come. I will talk to the players, we will watch the videos, and correct our mistakes. That’s the best way to go,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko told StarTimes
Accra Lions will travel to Sunyani to face high-flying Bofoakwa Tano FC in the next round of matches on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
