Asante Kotoko's interim Management Committee have released a statement to address the latest happenings in the club including the future of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The Porcupine Warriors have been very shambolic since the commencement of the season's second phase having lost their last four consecutive matches in the league.
After another shocking 0-1 loss to regional rivals Nations FC over the weekend to mark their second consecutive home defeat, the 'Kum Apem' lads now have their league winning hopes thrown in a huge doubt as they currently trail the top-spot with ten solid points.
In a statement released on Kotoko's official website, the interim Management Committee have pleaded with the fans to stay calm and continue to rally behind the club as they are working tirelessly to patch up all cracks and get the team back on track.
Also, they clarified that, Prosper Narteh Ogum is still the head coach of the club and have urged the fans to do away with the speculations that, he's been jettisoned.
"Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum remains at post, contrary to speculations about his imminent dismissal.
"The IMC acknowledges the concerns raised by our cherished supporters regarding our current situation. It must be placed on record that management is equally not enthused with our results and deem it unacceptable. However, the IMC is committed to ensuring that there is a quick turnaround in our current fortunes.
"In our quest to achieve this, various steps have been taken, including an emergency meeting with the coaching staff and not the dismissal of the head coach.
"We therefore urge our fans and all stakeholders to remain calm and continue to support our club in these turbulent times.
"We also thank you for all the concerns raised as well as your contributions, for which the IMC will give it the needed consideration. In the meantime, we all must unite and have absolute trust in our coaches to reclaim the stride with which we ended the first round." They concluded
