Hearts of Oak have parted ways with three highly-rated goalkeepers; Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi and Eric Ofori Antwi ahead of the upcoming season, says head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
The 'Phobians' entered into the Democracy Cup game against bitter rivals Kotoko last week without these three shot-stoppers and widely gave a hint that they might not be with the 'Phobians' anymore.
In a recent interview, coach Aboubakar Ouattara substantiated the reports by confirming they will be heading into the new campaign without the three national goalies.
“Those players (Richard Attah, Richmond Ayi and Eric Ofori Antwi) are no more with us.”
Attah joined the Phobians in 2020 from Elmina Sharks, whiles Ayi arrived in 2019 from WAFA, and both players were part of Hearts of Oak's domestic treble winning squad in the 2020/21 season, with the former being the first choice and was really integral to the success.
Eric Ofori Antwi, also switched to the Rainbow Club last summer but injuries prevented him from showcasing what he's got in the capital.
Hearts of Oak are still in search of their replacements and it is reported they have already reached agreement with Great Olympics' Benjamin Asare and are also pushing for Simba SC outcast Abdulai Iddrisu.
