Enterprising defender, David Oppong Afrane has officially joined Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2023/24 football season.
The 20-year-old joined the 'Phobians' on a three-year-deal after a fruitful negotiations despite the deal was reportedly called off in the latter part of the season.
Since the opening of the just-ended summer transfer window, the versatile defender was strongly linked with a move to the Phobians following his impressive campaign with King Faisal FC last season.
The Rainbow Club initially, had their double offers of $12,000 and $20,000 all rejected initially.
However, there were some reports that, Hearts of Oak told David Oppong Afrane to return to Kumasi to resolve all issues he is having with King Faisal.
The news in currently is that, deal has been finalized and Hearts of Oak have now already paid Ghc150,000 to King Faisal, with the player set to join for their remaining games.
Martin Koopman's men despite having an impressive preseason, lost their season opener against RTU last week and will seek redemption against Nsoatreman FC this Sunday.
