Orlando Wellington, the assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, has announced the 20-man squad that will face Medeama SC in the 22nd matchday of the Ghana premier league. The match will take place on Sunday evening at 6pm at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Isaac Oppong, who has been sidelined with an injury for the past four months, will make his return to the squad for this crucial encounter. Additionally, Augustine Agyapong, who was dropped from the Black Meteors squad for their game against Algeria, will also join the team.
However, Kotoko will be missing two key players - Justice Blay and Rocky Dwamena, who performed admirably in the club's previous game against Samartex. Furthermore, the team will be without their top scorer, Steven Mukwala, who is currently on national duty with the Ugandan national team.
The outcome of this fixture could determine whether or not the Porcupine Warriors can contend for the league title. A win could propel Kotoko into the top-four, but they will face a difficult challenge from their opponents.
