Bechem United were wasteful against Nations FC and that has really caused them dearly having missed on maximum points and coach Desmond Issah-Botchway has expressed frustration as he feels his players lacked the edge in the final third.
The Eagles held the Hunters to a very thrilling goalless draw on the afternoon of Friday, October 31, in match-day 8 opener at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
The game was really a very exciting one with Bechem United slightly on top and dominated in most situations but still couldn’t snatch all three points. Emmanuel Abban was served with the best chance in the game but unfortunately fired wide leaving a huge heartbreak among the home fans.
Speaking after the game, the enterprising gaffer feels they had chances and should buried the game but his players were very wasteful in front of goal.
“We came in to attack more and dominate them but they defended so well and we were making mistakes especially with final decision making so Im a little bit disappointed.
“Abban’s chance should have been a goal, you were closer to goal and jusr had to focus on scoring and not on style. I understand what’s happening because we couldn’t score but I don’t care.”
Bechem United are still with just a win this season and remain in 14th place on the table with six points and will face Young Apostles next.
