Mas-Ud Didi Dramani- Black Stars deputy gaffer has highlighted clubs on what to do in the closing moment of the season to be crowned champions of the Ghana Premier League notably the teams in the top four at the moment.
The 57 year old has been on scouting duty for sometime now, having moved to lots of centers to watch GPL matches hoping to identify some exciting talents in our local league who will be a perfect fit in the senior men national team.
In the ongoing season after 30 matches, Aduana Stars are at the summit with just a two-point lead, with both Medeama SC and Bechem United are firmly chasing and hoping to pounce on any slip from the leaders in the remaining games.
However, the two giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are both found on the fifth and sixth positions with 45 and 44 points respectively. They still stand a chance but will have to play their hearts out at the current stage of the season.
In an interview with Citi Sports, the two-time GPL winner revealed that, the team that will have a better coach to manage and rotate the squad effectively and also stay consistent with results are most likely to finish as the conquerors.
"The best team with the right consistency and effective squad management will win the league," he told Citi Sports
"At this crucial stage, it is vital to manage the squad effectively. As a coach, you need to know when to reduce the workload on players and provide them with opportunities to rest, which allows them to finish the league strongly."
Didi is expected to team up with the other Black Stars technical team members to name the next squad for the remaining two matches of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
