Outgone Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has questioned the club's decision to appoint a new head coach without his knowledge.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has been appointed as the new head coach of the Capital-based club ahead of the 2025-26 season's campaign, the club announced on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The former Black Stars assistant coach has signed to a two-year contract with the Hearts of Oak after being out of the dugout of a Premier League side since 2014.

However, Ouattara, who has been in charge of Hearts of Oak for the last two seasons, has lambasted the club's choice.

According to the Ivorian manager, the club management failed to notify him before to the appointment, which is a major administrative blunder.

"You cannot appoint a coach while another coach is in place. It is a big administrative mistake," he said in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa FM.

"If you want to appoint a new coach, talk to me, but they rather ghosted me," he added.

Following the appointment of Didi Dramani as the head coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara has been reassigned as a Special Advisor to the Board of Directors of the club.
