Former Ghana international Bernard Dong Bortey has urged the management of Asante Kotoko to commenced negotiation to acquire three players from their sworn-rivals for their 2022/23 CAF Champions League campaign.

The Hearts of Oak legend has advised the current Ghana Premier League champions to raid the camp of the Capital-based club to sign Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Mohammed Alhassan and Sulley Ali Muntari.
 
The trio have had an incredible season with Hearts of Oak in the about to end 2021/22 Ghana Premier League despite the last season's Premier League champion recent poor performance
 
"Kotoko should go to Hearts of Oak and sign Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Mohammed Alhassan. If they can they should also add Sulley Ali Muntari to help them in Africa" Dong Bortey told Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM
 
Dong Bortey was heavily criticized for joining Asante Kotoko's celebration last Sunday when celebrating their 25th Premier League glory and also lifting up their flag.
 
The Porcupine Warriors were officially crowned champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign after thumping on bottom-placed Elmina Sharks by 3-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in week 33.
 
Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana at the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup which is scheduled to commence in August.
