Edmund Ackah, the General Manager of Samartex, has leveled accusations against certain individuals within the football community, alleging sabotage aimed at thwarting the club's quest to clinch their maiden Ghana Premier League title.
Ackah claims that these individuals are resorting to "dark arts" and "diabolical minds" to undermine Samartex's championship aspirations, especially with just five matches remaining in the season.
Speaking on Oyerepa FM, Ackah expressed disdain for such tactics, dismissing those involved as lacking intelligence.
"Some individuals believe, with just five matches remaining in the GPL they can work against Samartex and win the league with their 'dark arts' and diabolic minds. I see those people as not being intelligent enough," he said.
With Samartex holding a commanding seven-point lead in the league standings, victory in their upcoming fixtures against Bofoakwa Tano, Heart of Lions, and Bibiani Gold Stars could secure them the coveted title.
However, the club remains vigilant amidst stiff competition from contenders such as Nations FC, currently trailing in second place, alongside Accra Lions and Aduana FC.
