Communications director of Heart of Lions, Eric Eli Adzie admits the club need to improve their position to avoid Ghana Premier League relegation.

The Kpando based side are currently 17th with 32 points, and the mouthpiece of the side has stated that the team is aiming to end with escaping the drop in their next games in the ongoing 2023-24 campaign.

"If you look at the table now, we have actually closed the gap on almost all the teams that are on the bottom fighting for relegation" he told Swiss FM.

"Mathematically we are not yet out five matches to end the season with a lot of points at stake. We are anticipating that we will continue to play like how we are doing now, pick some valuable points away and come back home and win our home games"

"That will actually aid our survival credentials. It’s not going to be easy because other teams are also aiming for survival. When it gets to this stage a lot is at stake but for us as a team we are focused on our matches and picking it one after one. We are well focused to survive the league" he stated.

Heart of Lions will clash with Dreams FC in Matchday 30 fixture in Dawu at the Theatre of Dreams.
