Isaac Amoako, the former goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's performance in the current Ghana Premier League campaign.

Despite being the defending champions, the team has not been consistent this season, winning 11, drawing 9, and losing 7 out of 27 matches.

Amoako, who now serves as the goalkeeper coach for Nsoatreman FC, expressed his displeasure about Kotoko's performance in an interview with Footballghana.com.

He believes that their performance rates them as any middle team in the Ghana Premier League. Amoako also stated that Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are usually expected to be at the top of the league but their performance this season, particularly Kotoko's, has not been encouraging, with their performance being on and off throughout the campaign.

“Kotoko is my former team so I do monitor their progress but if you look at their performance this season, you will rate them like any middle team in the Ghana Premier League”

“Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are always tipped to be at the top but looking at their performance this season especially, Kotoko, it is not encouraging. Kotoko’s performance have been on and off and I think this season has not been good for them” he said.

Asante Kotoko on Thursday afternoon lost 2-0 to Great Olympics at Sogakope. The defeat leaves the Porcupines in fifth place with 42 points, but still six points behind league leaders Aduana FC.
