Former Asante Kotoko Chairman, Herbert Mensah has blamed the Ghana Football Association for the low turnouts recorded at the various stadia's across the country in recent weeks, bemoaning that the domestic football governing body has not done enough in raising the standard of our game.
In recent times attendance at the various match venues during Premier League games has been awful, with the experienced football administrator pitching-in the repartee, insisting that the FA isn't running football properly in the country.
"The bigger problem is how football is run in this country, if you have two strong teams doing very well together, Kotoko and Hearts as part of it but the FA has a big role to play and I don’t think that they have done a great job over a period of time. this is not a personal issue, is not Kurt, is not about his people, we’ve seen it through the last two-three administrations that attendances at stadiums has been going down and I think we have to take a bigger look at that."
Mensah also noted that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has to lay down roadmaps in terms of investment and infrastructure.
“The ministry has to look at itself in terms of how they invest in youth programs, projects and infrastructure”
