Right back, Christopher Nakai Nettey finally says goodbye to Asante Kotoko following the expiration of his contract, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The 24 year old switched to the Porcupine Warriors in 2019 from Attram de Visser Academy, and walked straight into the team and subsequently established himself as a mainstay and the first option on the right side of defence.
He was really amazing and consistent in the red shirt which eventually earned him some national call ups including a Black Stars invite for 2021 AFCON qualifier against Sudan- where finally made his senior debut.
The enterprising lateral contributed immensely in helping the club achieve their 24th league triumph last season- after they had gone almost eight years without achieving that glory.
However, despite the good memories shared in Kumasi, Christopher Nettey will end his stay on this note following the refusal of the club to renew his just-exhausted contract.
He is currently unattached and is at liberty to join any club of his choice. He is most likely to join rivals Hearts of Oak, per reports.
