The agile shot-stopper is set to depart the Kumasi-based outfit after a three-year stay, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare will be leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract at the club in June 2025.
The 25-year-old, who has lost his spot to Guinean international Mohammed Camara, has decided not to extend his contract with the Porcupine Warriors after failing to reach an agreement with the club.
The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko has held negotiations with the former Accra Lions goalie to commit his future with the 2024/25 FA Cup finalists, but the contract extension talks have been stalled over a lack of financial agreement.
Asare arrived at Asante Kotoko on a free transfer in 2022 after ending his long stay at Premier League side Accra Lions, having helped them secure qualification to the top-flight league in 2021.

He has been struggling for playing time in the ongoing season's campaign and has made only 15 Premier League appearances for Asante Kotoko, keeping seven clean and conceding 12 goals in the process.
Asare was handed his first-ever call-up to the senior national team of Ghana last year, but he is yet to make a debut for the Black Stars. He has been snubbed by the Black Stars technical team following his lack of playing time at the club level.
Kickgh.com understands that Asare and his entourage are considering a switch to a club in East Africa or Europe ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
