Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have terminated their contract of Kwabena Anane after just ten months of his acquisition on long-term deal for an undisclosed fee, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

The 21-year-old arrived at the one-time CAF Champions League title holders on a five-year contract from Division One League side Golden Kicks Sporting Club in January 2023.

Since his acquisition in the second round of last season's transfer window, Anane failed to break into the Hearts of Oak's first team as his nine game outings in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League were cameo appearances.

Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm that the management of Hearts of Oak decided to abrogate the contract of Kwabena Anane for failing to live up to expectations since his arrival at the club.

His only game in the Phobians' shirt this season was against Bofoakwa Tano.

Hearts of Oak have been struggling in this campaign and have already sacked Coach Martin Koopman following the team's poor performance after ten matches.

Assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru has been named as an interim coach until a substantive coach is announced by the club. His first assignment will be against Accra Lions on Tuesday, November 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
