Libya Premier League side Al Ta'awon SC have expressed strong interest in signing highly-rated Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey, per exclusive reports in the local media.
The 26-year-old has been sensational since joining the Porcupine Warriors in 2021 and played an instrumental role in helping them win the Ghana Premier League in the 2021/22 season.
In the ongoing campaign, the mercurial midfielder has continued with his explosive performances despite facing injuries at the start of the season and currently has five assists in twelve league appearances.
Lamptey, was part of the Black Stars final squad recently for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which is still ongoing in Cote D'Ivoire- a tourney Ghana got evicted in the first round.
Speculations in the indigenous media has it that, Al Ta'awon have monitored Lamptey for a while now and are really impressed with his consistent high level outputs s they hope to lure his service for the second phase of the season.
The Blue and Yellows are currently sitting on the third position with 15 points in Group A, and will hope to bounce back stronger subsequently.
