Nations Football Club has begun talks with Bechem United for their centre-back, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Kickgh.com can confirm.

The negotiations between both clubs have intensified as the Abrankese lads are determined to conclude the transfer of the talented defender in the coming weeks.

Should the deal come to fruition, Kuffuor will join Nations as a replacement for Michael Awuah Mensah, who is on the verge of joining Hearts of Oak.

The 22-year-old centre-back has been identified as a perfect addition to strengthen the Bechem United defence, which finished seventh in the just-ended Premier League season.

According to our sources, Nations FC have already agreed personal terms with Kuffuor, and the young defender is eager to re-unite with his former coach, Kasim Mingle.

Kuffuor joined Bechem United from Young Vipers in 2022 on a three-year deal and has entered his final season with the Hunters.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, with Nations FC pushing hard to secure Kuffuor's services before the start of the new season.

Kuffuor netted twice in 28 appearances for Bechem United in the just-ended Ghana Premier League campaign.
