Real Tamale United (RTU) players are dragging their feet to report for the pre-season camp due to three months salary in arrears, kickgh can exclusively reveal.
No Real Tamale United player has received his pay check since March, after Ibrahim Mahama and Hon. Hassan Tampuli, MP for Guesheigu, came to their rescue.
Players have United in their efforts to get their salaries before availing themselves for pre-season.
RTU escaped relegation on the final day last season, after thumping Hearts of Oak by 4:1 in Accra.
RTU placed 16th, one points above relegated Eleven Wonders.
Shaibu Tanko decided against extending his deal with the Tamale-based side as the head coach.
Subsequently, Black Maidens gaffer, Baba Nuhu has been appointed as the new trainer.
Per reports, David Abagna is expected to depart the club with a year left of his existing contract.
