Former WAFA midfielder and captain, Michael Kyei Dwamena, has completed his transfer to Asante Kotoko during the ongoing transfer window, with an official announcement imminent.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the prominent club throughout the current transfer window, and he has now finalized his transition to the Porcupines after successfully passing his mandatory medical examination.
Dwamena, known for his imposing stature, consistently demonstrated his exceptional skills during his time with the Academy Boys. His outstanding performances in the previous season garnered significant attention, drawing interest from several top-tier clubs within the country.
However, Asante Kotoko has been at the forefront of the pursuit and has solidified the deal. The player has officially inked a three-year contract with the team based at the Baba Yara Stadium, following the successful completion of his mandatory medical examination on Tuesday.
Asante Kotoko is currently engaged in pre-season preparations in Beposo, with the player actively training alongside his new teammates.
The two-time Championship League winners will kick off their 2023/24 season with a home match at the Baba Yara Stadium against Heart of Lions.
