Defender Fatawu Sulemana has expressed his delight at returning to Ghana Premier League champions Medeama.
The 20-year-old left-back, known for his dynamic style of play, has signed a two-year deal with the Mauve and Yellow, marking his swift comeback to Tarkwa after a brief stint with Sudanese giants Al Merreikh SC.
Fatawu's reunion with Medeama follows a year after his departure for Northeast Africa, a move cut short due to unforeseen challenges arising from political instability in Sudan.
Having showcased consistent brilliance for Medeama in the Ghana Premier League over the previous two seasons, the talented defender played a pivotal role in 11 out of 13 matches during the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign. His outstanding performances reflected his skill and dedication to the Yellow and Mauves.
Fatawu Sulemana is set to feature in Medeama's upcoming league game against Accra Great Olympics.
Speaking about his return, he expressed excitement, stating, "It’s exciting to be back in Tarkwa. The situation meant I returned home to continue with my career. Reintegrating into the team has been made easy because I spent three years here before. The current group is very promising, and I hope to play a major part in our ambitions this season."
