Head coach of FC Samartex, Nurudeen Amadu has stated that he is cognizant of the fact that his team will be a target for other clubs in the second round of the Ghana Premier League due to their spectacular performance in the ongoing season.

According to the experienced tactician he is intending to roll out a recruitment policy to bring onboard "big name players" who will help the club to retain their position on the top pecking of the summit, and if possible win the league.

“The second round will be tougher than we think, and as it is now, everybody will be looking at us. If we play any match, it will be like the grand finale, so it is not something that we need to sleep over,” he told Graphic Sports in an interview.

“That is what we intend to do. Normally, those players coming in during the second window must be seasoned players, not players who are coming to sit on the bench."

Coach Nurudeen Amadu revealed that the Timber Giants have identified some super talents they are interested in signing.

“Yes, we have identified some. However, sometimes, you don’t know the contractual issues, but we’ll see how it goes when the transfer window opens,” he disclosed.
