Maxwell Arthur, former captain of Ghana Premier League outfit Dreams FC, has successfully finalized a transfer to fellow Premier League side Karela United.
As reported by Shaban Mohammed, the versatile player has completed his transition to the Western Region-based club after productive negotiations.
On Monday, August 28, 2023, he formally put pen to paper on a two-year contract, having completed all necessary paperwork with Karela United.
Maxwell Arthur, who dedicatedly led the 'Still Believe' club, bid farewell to the Ghanaian FA Cup champions in June through a mutual agreement that terminated his tenure with the club.
Before departing Dreams FC, Maxwell Arthur had an enduring association with the team spanning six years. He first joined the club's youth ranks before progressing to the senior team during the 2016/17 season.
His debut for the senior team came on June 29 in a 2-0 victory against New Edubiase United in the Ghana Premier League. He entered the match as a substitute for Aaron Amoah.
His commendable performance earned him selection for other national teams, including the U-20 and U-23 squads, participating in various competitions.
