Former Hearts of Oak striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie is set to undergo trials with English League Two side Cheltenham Town, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old forward, currently a free agent, will join 'The Robins' pre-season training camp as he looks to secure a contract ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Boateng, who previously featured for Legon Cities and Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League, joined Hearts of Oak in July 2024 but struggled to make a significant impact before parting ways with the club at the end of the season.
His move to Cheltenham Town comes as the striker seeks to revive his career abroad following limited game time in Accra.
Cheltenham Town, who were relegated to League Two last season, are rebuilding under new management and are expected to assess several trialists in the coming weeks.
