Former Samartex winger Evans Osei Wusu is expected to arrive in Kumasi today (Monday) as Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko step up efforts to secure his signature, your authentic football outlet KickGH.com can report.
The 25-year-old, currently a free agent after parting ways with FC Samartex earlier this year, is being strongly considered by head coach Abdul Karim Zito, who is said to be pushing for the deal.
Osei Wusu enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign, netting seven goals in 24 league appearances for the Timber Giants.
However, across two seasons with the club, he recorded 15 goals in 47 matches.
The former Tema Youth attacker is viewed as a key target as Kotoko look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season following an inconsistent campaign last term.
