Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are pursuing the signature of former FC Samartex winger Evans Osei Wusu ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The 24-year-old is expected in Kumasi this week to begin talks with the Porcupine Warriors as the club looks to strengthen its wide options following an inconsistent campaign last season.
Osei Wusu, who previously played for Tema Youth FC, made 24 appearances and scored 7 goals for Samartex during the 2024/25 season, emerging as one of the standout performers for the ‘Timber Giants’.
The winger is currently a free agent after parting ways with Samartex earlier this year. Over two seasons with the club, he made 47 appearances and scored 15 goals.
Asante Kotoko have yet to confirm the interest publicly, but club officials are understood to be optimistic about securing a deal in the coming days.
