Asante Kotoko have announced that nine players have been exempted from the pre-season trip to Sudan due to injuries.
The Porcupine Warriors left the shores of Ghana on Sunday afternoon to the North African nation for a ten-day preseason exercise ahead the 2022/23 season's campaign.
Cameroon duo Georges Mfegue Omgba and Franck Mbella Etouga was reportedly rushed to hospital on Friday due to ill health were among the players left out of the traveling squad list.
Also, Patrick Asmah, Charles Owusu, Maxwell Agyemang and Samuel Boateng were dropped from the list despite recovering from injuries following caution from the club's medical team.
Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad is currently on international assignment with the Black Galaxies in Austria.
Talented attacker Ibrahim Osman who returned from a season-long loan spell at King Faisal couldn't travel with the team due to injury as well as Justice Blay.

Asante Kotoko will engage Sudanese giants Al Hilal and other clubs in pre-season scrimmages before they return to Ghana on September 1
Asante Kotoko will be competing in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League which will start next month. They have been paired with RC Kadiogo in the first preliminary round.
