Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has stated with so much optimism that, their lethal forward, Franck Etouga Mbella is going no where and will stay with the club for the 2022/23 season.
The 21 year old joined the Porcupine Warriors prior to the commencement of the season, and his stellar and consistent display has established him as one of the fans favourite in Kumasi.
The lanky striker has been sensational, having netted massive 21 goals so far in the league and is currently the leading top scorer in the Ghanaian output.
Arguably, his blistering form propelled Kotoko to their 25th league glory which was presented to them last Sunday after their resounding 3-0 triumph over bottom-placed Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the club's Executive head has assured all Kotoko supporters that, they will offer all they could to keep Mbella and will also look to make other signings to establish a redoubtable side for their Africa campaign. He said;
"As we participate in Africa, we can't go without Mbella."
"We rather need more quality additions, so how can we sell our best player? We can't let him go, we will do all we can to keep him."
Franck Mbella, 21, has another chance to extend his goal tally this weekend when they face Accra Lions in their final fixture of the season.
