Ghana's football transfer window still opened and is set to be closed down at 12am on the early hours of Tuesday, August 23, 2022 with lots of moves set to be sealed before the stipulated time.

 

The 36 year old last week on the BBC, stated emphatically clear that, he is yet to retire from football and is hoping to be included in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be staged in Qatar in November.

Having said that, the ex- Sunderland striker is very much aware he isn't in the good shape to play at the moment hence has started an intensive training to get himself well gelled and ready for the pitch once again.
 
However, Gyan, 36, according to reports, has begun negotiations with Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko, with a deal most likely to happen tonight in order to get to play actively to gain and keep match fitness for the global football tourney two months from now. 
 
With the window set to be shut down tonight, all clubs will be looking to make some additions to strengthen their team before the commencement of the 2022/23 football season.
 
Asante Kotoko arrived in Sudan on the early hours of today to further on with their preseason and will take on their champions, Al Hilal Omdurman in a high profile friendly to test their strength, having played some couple of matches during their ten day stay in Accra.
