Basake Holy Stars continued their outstanding home form in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, edging Bechem United 1-0 at the AAK II Park to register their fourth home victory of the season.
Bismark Teye Tetteh scored the decisive goal early in the second half as the hosts bounced back to winning ways and preserved their 100 percent record on home soil.
Determined to make home advantage count after struggling on the road this season, Holy Stars started brightly and created several first-half opportunities. However, Bechem United defended resolutely to keep the scores level heading into the break.
The Hunters also threatened on a few occasions but failed to produce the cutting edge required to trouble the home side.
Holy Stars resumed the second half with greater intensity and were rewarded 10 minutes after the restart when Teye Tetteh broke the deadlock with a composed finish to send the home supporters into celebration.
The goal gave the hosts greater control of the contest, and they managed the remainder of the game effectively, limiting Bechem United's attacking opportunities while protecting their slender advantage.
The victory extends Bechem United's winless run against Basake Holy Stars to five Premier League meetings and lifts Holy Stars to fifth place in the league standings as they continue to impress in their debut top-flight campaign.
