Ebenezer Abban and Nana Kwame Oppong’s goals gave bottom side Heart of Lions a 2-0 victory over under-par Berekum Chelsea to end their winless drought.
Abban gave Lions the lead with a well taken penalty in the 7th minute, before Nana Kwame Oppong doubled their lead in the 17th minute.
In the 42nd minute Lions miscued effort arrived as star man’ Boateng fluffed from fine position as he ran past his marker only to shoot into the Goalkeepers hands.
Even though Heart of Lions secured a win, today, they are still manning the bottom spot with all seriousness as they aim to shake off their cellar dwelling status in their subsequent matches under the guardianship of experienced Bashir Hayford.
However, Berekum Chelsea are seventh with 27 points.
