Joseph Kinful scored as Bechem United recorded a 1-0 victory over Samartex in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
The breakthrough came in the 3rd minute of the contest, and Samartex were unable to find a leveller despite their best efforts, with the Timber Giants still sitting top of the summit despite today’s defeat with 35 points, six points above 7th-placed Bechem United.
Both sides entered the match off the back of one straight losses, with Bechem going down 1-0 to Nsoatreman in the match-week 18 fixture, but Seth Osei Wire’s side was able to bounce back with a well-deserved win.
The Timber Giants on the other hand have recorded their 7th road defeat after this afternoon’s road loss to the Hunters in the Ghana Premier League this season.
