Aduana FC's bid for the Ghana Premier League title suffered a setback on Saturday, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu-Gyeabour Park.

Bechem United's impressive home form continued, as they extended their unbeaten run to seven games, including a notable win over FC Samartex. In contrast, Aduana FC struggled on the road, with only one victory in their last 10 away matches, which came against Hearts of Oak.

Despite showing improvement with two wins in their last three games, Aduana FC found Bechem United a tough nut to crack.

The hosts capitalized on their home advantage, securing a crucial win in the matchday 32 encounter. The decisive moment came in the 76th minute, as Emmanuel Owusu's goal handed Bechem United all three points.

This defeat effectively ended Aduana FC's title hopes, even if league leaders Samartex were to lose their remaining matches. Samartex holds a six-point lead and has a superior head-to-head record, which would serve as a tie-breaker if needed.

Meanwhile, Bechem United moved up to fifth place with 47 points and two games left, shifting their focus to securing a top-four finish and a strong finish to the season.
