Gladson Awako names his top three players in the GPL as he omits Franck Mbella and Yaw Annor

Hearts of Oak midfielder, Gladson Awako, names Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Clinton Duodu and Augustine Okrah as his best players in the league.

Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier league with sixty-seven points, ending their eight year league drought.

Ashanti Gold's Yaw Annor was the top scorer and Franck Mbella was relentless as he scored twenty-one goals, one shy off Yaw Annor but were snub by Gladson Awako in best players for the season.

Gladson Awako, 31, joined Hearts of Oak this season from regional-rivals, Great Olympics ahead of 2021/22 season.

The former CAF champions league winner Gladson Awako snubs Yaw Annor and Franck Mbella Etouga in his top-three players as he chooses Afriyie Barnieh, Clinton Duodu and Augustine Okrah ahead of them.

"To me, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh , Clinton Duodu and Augustine Okrah have been my top three players in the Ghana Premier league," he told Akoma FM.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored eight goals for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier league and was instrumental in their MTN FA victory.

Augustine Okrah was the top scorer for Bechem United with fourteen goals in the league as they finished third, behind Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars.

Teenager Clinton Duodu was instrumental for the Hunters in their MTN FA cup journey to the finals and the GPL.
