The newly appointed head coach of Gold Stars, Frimpong Manso is convinced his side can stop Samartex efforts in becoming the new invincibles in the Ghana Premier League.
Eight clubs have failed to beat Nurudeen Amadu's side in the top flight in the ongoing season. The Premier League cellar dwellers have never dropped points against Samartex both at home and away at Samreboi.
As their momentum builds on the back of Frimpong Manso's appointment, the Miners will host the Premier league leaders in a game that has been termed as the clash of 'no mercy for the cripple', however Manso believes Samartex juggernaut can be stopped in its tracks on Sunday.
“They have a different set of players and this time around another group has come in. They are now on top so, obviously their confidence level is high. But looking at that, it doesn’t mean the team is not unbeatable,” Manso said.
“They have only won away to Bofoakwa when they played at Abrankese,” he added.
