Medeama SC, the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, are determined to bolster their attacking options by targeting Emmanuel Owusu Boakye, the winger from Karela United.
Despite their impressive title-winning campaign, Medeama SC has identified the need for more firepower in their forward line.
Jonathan Sowah emerged as the team's most prolific attacker, netting 12 goals to drive the team to success. Surprisingly, Vincent Atingah, a center-back, was their second-highest scorer with 11 goals, primarily from penalty kicks.
In light of their goal-scoring concerns, the Yellow and Mauves have been actively scouting for a prolific striker to reinforce their squad. Several reports suggest that Owusu Boakye fits the bill and has caught their attention.
As Medeama prepares to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League following their title triumph, they are taking necessary measures to strengthen the team for the upcoming challenges against continental giants.
However, the club is yet to formally submit an official bid to Karela United for the services of the 23-year-old winger, who impressed with seven goals in 21 appearances during the recently concluded season.
